1Is the motorhome fully insured?
Our Motorhome is covered by comprehensive motor insurance; there is a charge of £150 per holiday for European Comprehensive motor insurance but this also includes European breakdown.
2Can I hire the motorhome?
Anyone between the ages of 25-75 with 5 years driving experience. You must have category C1 on your driving licence (this is because of the weight requirement of the motorhome)
3How do I pay?
A non-refundable deposit of £250 is required to confirm the booking with the remaining balance payable 6 weeks prior to the hire date. If the hire date is less than 30 days in advance, then full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments can be made by BACS transfer, in person or by cheque as long as the cheque is cleared before the commencement of hire. A £1,000 (£1,500 if taking pets) deposit security bond is required before commencement of hire and must be made by bank transfer or in cash. This will be refunded in the same way as received at the end of your hire as long as the terms and conditions are adhered to.
4Why do you require a security bond?
The security deposit/bond is refundable upon return of the Motorhome on time, undamaged, with a clean cooker/oven & interior & with the chemical toilet cassette cleaned & emptied. In the event of damage to our vehicle (internally or externally) the £500 or part of would go towards the repair. Should the repair be in excess of £500 towards our insurance excess. For any insurance claim or accidental damage (internally or externally) £500 is your maximum liability.
5How do I Book?
You can book via telephone, email, or contact us via our enquiry form. You can even book online.
6Is travel insurance included?
No, we do however recommend you take out personal travel insurance as we do not cover any loss or breakages to your personal possessions.
7What day/time can I collect the motorhome?
You can collect the motorhome from 3.00 pm on the day of hire and must be returned by 11.00 am. Contact us for more flexible handover times though as we may be able to help and accommodate alternative times.
8Do I need to bring my own towels/bedding?
Yes, but we can provide you with duvets, bed linen and towels upon request and at a small laundry charge.
9How will I know how to use the equipment in the motorhome?
Don’t worry, before you start your hire we will run through everything with from start to finish but just in case you forget, we have written an extensive easy to use “how to guide” with photos for you to refer to. If you need further assistance, just give u a ring or use our text facility and we will help you figure it out.
10Is smoking allowed in the motorhome?
No, smoking or vaping is not permitted in our motorhome.
11Is there an additional cost for having more than one driver?
You can have up to 3 drivers on the motorhome hire at no extra charge, provided that all drivers meet the eligibility criteria as per our Terms & Conditions of Hire and that they all have category C1 on their driving licences.
12Can I use my child's car seat in the motorhome?
Yes, in fact you must if your child, legally needs to travel in a car seat in a car you will need to bring yours with you. The travelling seats have standard isofix seat belts that will fit any legal car seat.
13Do you allow pets?
We allow small, well behaved dogs at a charge of £50 per animal. Please note any damages, stains and breakages will be charged for from the security deposit. We suggest you look into travelling with your pets in Europe before commencing your hire. NO CATS ALLOWED
14Can I leave my car/transport with you whilst I am away?
Of course, you can! We welcome you to leave your car on our drive while you are away. We just require you to leave a spare key for the car in case we need to move it in case of emergencies.
15Do you provide kitchen/dining utensils?
Yes, Crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils are included. As is washing up liquid, dish cloths, tea towels, kitchen roll, cleaning fluid & toilet roll.
16What is the security deposit?
A security deposit of £1000 is- pre-authorised or or taken on a debit/credit card when you pick up the motorhome. The name on the card must match the hirer's name. £1500 is needed with all Pet Friendly hire. £1500 is needed for festival hire or special events.
17What works from the LPG gas bottle?
The heating and hot water The hob/grill/oven The fridge runs off the leisure battery when you’re driving
18What works from the leisure battery?
Lights Water pump LCD TV The leisure battery charges as you drive, from a 240 charger when hooked up to the mains and also through the solar panels.
19What does hooking up to the Mains Electricity mean?
On most campsites you can park your motorhome on an electric pick-up pitch Electric hook-up provides mains electricity which powers the fridge, water heater, space heater and recharges the leisure battery The onboard 240v plug sockets can only be used when hooked up to the mains
20What plug sockets are there in the motorhome?
There are up to 3 plug sockets There is a 12v socket in the cab area which can be used to power phone chargers
21Is the motorhome suitable in winter?
Yes, the motorhome is insulated and has double glazed windows The on-board space heating system keeps the motorhome warm in the winter months.
22What is the freshwater storage on board?
There is a freshwater tank approximately 120L.
23Can I park my car with you whilst I am away?
Yes, you can park on our driveway
24What is a handover?
You will receive expert advice on how to use the motorhome when you arrive at our premises. You will be shown all the key features, how to use the various items with the home, how to replenish the fresh water, use the on-board heating systems etc. The motorhomes are very easy to use and operate. As well as this, demonstration videos are provided.
